These are details from paintings currently in my studio. Since I am currently painting for a solo show for November 4th at Bonner David I will not be posting the full images just yet. In the top image it is detail from a multi figured piece that came as a result of my reflecting on the different stages of my life. The writing in the dress is copied from my own journal in 1983. The Garfield on the lunchbox is taken from a page of doodles from when I was 12 years old. The bottom photo is an example of some of the fabrics I have been incorporating into my new paintings. While I was in Japan I found a book of German vintage fabrics which these both came from.

Beautiful.
I come here from Cristie's blog The Table Runner. Wonderful artwork and beautifully haunting faces.
I found you through Cristie and I have to say I LOVE your work. I can't wait to show it to my daughter who wants to be an artist when she grows up.

Melissa, you are quite a talented lady. I came over from Christie's blog where I read about your wonderful cookbook. It looks like a real jewel.
My shelves are overflowing with cookbooks and believe it or not, I use them all. I would love to have yours in my collection.
My current favorites are from Ina Garten - the Barefoot Contessa. I like her philosophy of how to give a dinner party.

I love these! The writing in the top mentioning ET - I was right there with you in 1983. Can't wait to see the final results - I may need to add yet another Melissa Peck original to my collection!
Just discovered your blog by accident ! And love your work! SO inspiring in it's whimsy! My work is whimsical as well and sometimes I get down when people don't seem to "get" it. Here's to us whimsical spirits! Keep up the great work!
Lovely lovely lovely. I love seeing your work. Thanks for sharing.
Love these new glimpses and the postcard painting for the Bonner David Galleries. I think it's time to add another Melissa Peck original to the collection - can't wait to see more
very nice!!
I love your paintings ever since Cavalier Galleries introduced you to me when visiting Nantucket one summer. I just bought "I can See" as a gift to myself and wonder whose name is it on top? It doesn't look like yours. I look forward to buying another one soon!
Rhonda,
Thank you for purchasing "I Can See". It is a favorite of mine. About a year ago I started signing my name including my middle name (Kathleen). Yes, that is my signature. I am not sure how close you are to Greenwich but I am having a solo show in Cavalier's Greenwich gallery on May 14th and would love to meet you.
